The Stone Towers by Zaha Hadid.
The Stone Towers by Zaha Hadid Architects for Rooya Group of Egypt is located in the Stone Park district of Cairo. Providing office and retail facilities to a rapidly expanding Cairo, the unique 525,000sqm Stone Towers development also includes a five-star business hotel with serviced apartments, retail with food and beverage facilities and sunken landscaped gardens and plaza called the 'Delta'.
Ancient Egyptian stonework incorporates a vast array of patterns and textures that, when illuminated by the intense sunlight of the region, creates animated displays of light and shadow. The effect is powerful, direct and inspiring. The facades on the North and South elevations of each building within Stone Towers adopts a rich vocabulary of alternating protrusions, recesses and voids to enhance the deep reveal shadow lines that accentuate the curvatures of each building within the development and animate the project throughout the day.

My eyes hurt. But in a good way.
Tokyo’s famous Senzoku Kaguen College of Music’s latest addition, "Black Hole" was designed by Terada design & Architects, a Tokyo-based architecture firm.
The Black Hole has recording studios, multimedia studios, electronic organ classrooms, PC labs, and practice studios for jazz, jazz vocal, pop and rock. To spice things up a bit, the otherwise "boring" hallways are intense wall and ceiling colors that are almost headache inducing! The intense color scheme is of course the main design element, and the large-scale painted signage on the walls is the main artwork.

Lady Noire
Marion Cottilard has reunited with La Vie en Rose director Olivier Dahan for a Hitchcock-inspired short film, in which the star of the show is that lambskin ingénue known as the Lady Dior handbag.
Lady Noire is the first of four installments to be released over the next two years to coincide with Dior collections.

WWDRetail has reported that the wonderful Anna Sui has signed on to be the new Target Designer Collaborator! The inspiration for the chic collection is none other than the main female characters on Gossip Girl (!!!!).
The collection will hit 250 select Target stores and Target.com from September 13 - October 17
Says Sui of the new collaboration:
“I have always been a fan of designer partnerships with mass retailers,” Sui told WWD. “I think it is a great way to bring fashion to everyone. I love Go International and was intrigued with Target’s new take on designer partnerships. It’s a fresh approach. I was able to select a muse or source of creative inspiration to focus the collection around. It is an exciting challenge to try and interpret my aesthetic into a mass-produced product with a specific inspirational source as the focus.”

Glossy.
Samuel Accoceberry has designed the Suga Tables for the France based manufacturer Élitis.
Suga is a line of low tables handcrafted of polyester resin-coated fiberglass. The glossy lacquered finish is available in different colors, and the top can be either lacquered or stained glass.

The Ondelios, Renault environmentally friendly, high-end cross-over concept car, produced in collaboration with .MGX , was on display from April 22 to 27th in Milan at via Tortona 35, as part of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, complimented by a flock of .MGX design objects, including the new Tulip.MGX and Torus.MGX lights and the Wye.MGX table.The Ondelios, designed for lovers of long-haul travel who set store by comfort and refinement, was inspired by nature and the way it solves problems with elegance. The .MGX design team and cutting-edge technologies enabled Renault to understand these natural processes in relation to creating structures. This vision can be seen clearly in the car’s ethereal design, interior layout and original hybrid powertrain.
In addition to providing inspiration, .MGX techniques were used to produce a number of specific elements for the car, including the dashboard and roof, which emphasize the vehicle’s airy look and feel and in the case of the latter, bathes the interior in natural light.
