DIY Rubber Hose Chair

Instructables.com is a website where people share DIY processes. Recently, instructions on how to make your own Rubber Hose Chair have surfaced, like the one seen below.

The idea is so great because it’s a nice example of the modernist goal of making good design accessible to everyone.

See the whole process here.

DIY: Upside down bookshelf

I've been seeing these around lately and I finally found how to DIY it (and save a buck or two!)

Essentials: Some elastic, a board, brackets and a stapler
In short: this is made of stuff that many of us already have on hand or can purchase inexpensively at any hardware store.

The result: a book shelf that holds as few or as many books as you want , appears to ‘hang’ them impossibly above and does no damage to your favorite volumes. Books can then be easily added to and removed from the finished wood shelf.

Ta-Da.
